Where It All Started

Back in 2019, I was stuck in the same rut as most folks - mindlessly running on treadmills, counting reps like a robot, honestly just going through the motions. Don't get me wrong, it worked, but where was the fire? Where was the feeling that made you wanna come back?

Then one night, I wandered into this underground club in East Van. The DJ was dropping these insane beats and I watched people move like they were possessed - completely lost in the rhythm. That's when it hit me. We've been training wrong this whole time.

I spent the next year obsessing over how music affects athletic performance. Studied everything from neuroscience to traditional martial arts, worked with DJs, dancers, and fighters. What I found was wild - your body doesn't just respond to rhythm, it CRAVES it. When you sync movement with beats, something primal kicks in.

Founder training

Started teaching classes out of a warehouse on Granville. Just me, a sound system I bought off Craigslist, and some heavy bags. Word spread fast. People weren't just getting fit anymore - they were getting addicted to the feeling. That flow state where time disappears and you're just pure movement.

Now we've got this space, a crew of trainers who get it, and a community that shows up not because they have to, but because they genuinely can't stay away. That's what Xeno Rhythm Realm is really about.

Look, we're not here to sell you some miracle transformation or pretend there's a shortcut. But we ARE here to make training something you actually look forward to instead of dread.

What We're Really About

Rhythm Over Routine

Every workout syncs with music that's actually good. We're talking about beats that push you when you're tired, tracks that match your heart rate, soundscapes that turn training into an experience. Your body knows how to move to music - we just weaponize it.

Real Combat, Real Results

We teach actual boxing and kickboxing techniques, not some watered-down cardio version. Yeah, you'll get fit, but you'll also learn to throw a proper cross and kick like you mean it. Skills that stick with you outside the gym.

No Ego Zone

We've got members who couldn't do a pushup when they started, and fighters who compete at high levels. Everyone trains together, everyone respects the process. Your only competition is who you were yesterday.

Our Journey So Far

Fall 2019

Started with 8 people in a 1200 sq ft warehouse. Taught rhythm boxing three nights a week while working construction during the day.

Spring 2020

Pandemic hit hard. Pivoted to outdoor training sessions in parks. Community got even tighter - people needed this outlet more than ever.

Winter 2021

Opened our first real studio on Granville Street. Added HIIT dance fusion and brought on two more coaches who shared the vision.

Summer 2022

Launched nutrition consulting after too many members asked for diet help. Partnered with a registered dietitian who actually gets performance eating.

Fall 2023

Expanded to 5,000 sq ft. Added dedicated strength training area, recovery room, and a sound system that cost more than my first car.

2025 & Beyond

Over 300 active members, team of 8 coaches, and we're just getting started. Still figuring things out, still learning, still evolving. That's the whole point.
